Over in the US, The Voice contestants will be getting advice from pop music sensation this season as Rihanna joins the TV series.  The singer is joining NBC’s talent reality TV competition as a key advisor for the new season’s show.

Rihanna follows previous The Voice mentors Nate Ruess of fun and Taylor Swift.

Season nine of The Voice US once again changes its coaching lineup as Gwen Stefani replaces Christina Aguilera in the revolving chair.

Returning coaches will be Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams, with host Carson Daly back to front the show as well.

The Voice returns to NBC on September 21 2015.
