British rock band Coldplay have revealed a very surreal video for their new track ‘Birds’ taken from their 7th studio album, ‘Head Full of Dreams’
The video has been directed by Marcus Haney and shows the band touring the Salvation Mountain Art Monument which is in the southern Californian desert. The video features plenty of magical and colourful kaleidoscopic effects in the typical Coldplay fashion.
The band first shared the new video on Twitter on January 2, posting: ‘Happy new year, everyone. Here’s the video for Birds, filmed at salvation mountain with @marcushaney. love c,g,j,w+p’

2016 looks like it will be a busy year for Coldplay. They have been confirmed as the half-time show headliners during February’s American Football Super Bowl 50 event. They will follow that up with an appearance at the Brit Awards alongside Adele and Justin Bieber in London.
The band will also set off on a world tour, kicking off in South and Central America in March 2016 before heading to the UK in June.
Coldplay shared the video for their latest single ‘Adventure of a Lifetime’ late last year, check it out below:
